Odaily reports that CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju posted on <X> stating: "The current cost basis for Bitcoin is $95,000: • ETF/custodial wallets: $89,000 • Binance traders: $59,000 • Mining companies: $57,000, falling below this level during past downturns (May 2022, March 2020, November 2018) confirmed bear markets; • Whales: $25,000."

Analysis: The current holding cost of Bitcoin mining companies is $57,000, and the holding cost of ETFs/custodial wallets is $89,000

Odaily reports that according to Lookonchain's monitoring, today 10 US Bitcoin ETFs saw a net inflow of 247 BTC ($23.83 million), of which BlackRock saw an inflow of 227 BTC ($21.98 million), and BlackRock currently holds 587,050 BTC ($5.675 billion); 9 Ethereum ETFs saw a net outflow of 1,151 ETH ($3.21 million), of which Grayscale ETHE saw an outflow of 1,510 ETH ($4.22 million), and Grayscale currently holds 1,303,250 ETH ($3.64 billion).

Today, the US Bitcoin ETF has a net inflow of 247 BTC, and the Ethereum ETF has a net outflow of 1,151 ETH

Odaily reports that according to a report by K33 Research head Vetle Lunde, as of December 31 last year, institutional investors held 25.4% of the assets under management (AUM) of spot Bitcoin ETFs, totaling $26.8 billion. Between the third and fourth quarters of 2024, the percentage of Bitcoin ETF AUM held by institutions grew by 113%. Additionally, the proportion of AUM held by institutions grew by 4.1% quarter-over-quarter, with the total amount jumping 69% to $78.8 billion by the end of the fourth quarter. According to Lunde's data, the number of investors gaining Bitcoin exposure through ETFs reached 1,576 last quarter, a 37.4% quarterly increase and a 68.2% annual increase. Furthermore, institutional interest in BlackRock's IBIT grew by more than 4 times in 2024. By the end of the fourth quarter last year, institutions reported holding $16 billion in IBIT shares, up from less than $4 billion at the end of the first quarter. K33: Institutions held nearly $27 billion in Bitcoin ETFs as of Q4, accounting for more than 25% of total AUM

Odaily reported that BNY Mellon disclosed in a recent filing with the US SEC that as of the end of the fourth quarter last year, it held over $13 million in <BTC> ETFs, including 115,108 shares of <WisdomTree BTCW> worth about $11.87 million, and 25,309 shares of <BlackRock IBIT> worth about $1.4 million.
