Odaily reports that Bybit CEO Ben Zhou responded to CZ's suggestion for Bybit to suspend withdrawals on X platform, stating: "I agree with CZ's view that if the hacking attack was through penetrating our internal systems (such as a part of the withdrawal system) or the hot wallet was breached, we would immediately suspend all withdrawals until the root cause is found. However, in yesterday's incident, it was our ETH cold wallet (we use Safe) that was compromised, which is unrelated to any of our internal systems. Therefore, I can decisively decide to allow all Bybit withdrawals and system functions to operate as usual. During last night's crisis, Binance, CZ, and many partners and industry leaders proactively offered help, for which we are deeply grateful and warmed by the support received. This incident was a huge blow to Bybit, but the entire industry has demonstrated the power of unity. I believe that from now on, everything will only improve."
