Plume Network receives investment from YZi Labs to expand the RWAfi ecosystem, drive the tokenization of traditional assets, and connect with DeFi.
YZi Labs invests in Plume Network, PLUME token surges 20%
YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs) has just announced an investment in Plume Network, a modular blockchain built specifically for Real World Asset (RWA) combined finance.
According to Max Coniglio, Investment Director at YZi Labs, Plume is helping to make RWA as accessible as any digital asset, thereby connecting traditional finance with DeFi and driving the digitization of real-world assets.
Chris Yin, co-founder and CEO of Plume, said that while the demand to bring traditional assets onto the blockchain is very high, the necessary infrastructure to do so is still not complete. Plume is solving this problem by providing a platform that allows any organization issuing assets to easily access Web3, connect with the community, ecosystem, and liquidity on the blockchain.
With the new capital from YZi Labs, Plume will continue to scale, strengthen its position in the RWAfi field, and drive its presence in emerging markets. At the same time, the platform will continue to attract more financial institutions to join the ecosystem.

According to the announcement, Plume Network is the first layer-1 to apply modular blockchain to RWAfi, providing an ideal environment for tokenizing and managing real-world assets.
Plume Network not only provides an EVM environment to bring various types of traditional assets onto the blockchain, but also connects them to the RWAfi ecosystem, creating decentralized financial applications for RWA, and simplifying complex processes when deploying RWA projects, with the aim of building a blockchain infrastructure that serves both seasoned crypto users and the needs of financial institutions.
Plume Network supports a diverse range of assets, from traditional financial instruments, carbon credits, GPUs, alternative assets, to digital collectibles. Users can use these assets to swap, borrow, earn profits, or trade within the RWAfi ecosystem, similar to how they interact with crypto assets.
The collaboration between YZi Labs and Plume Network marks an important step in bringing real-world assets onto the blockchain, expanding their applications in DeFi, and driving the robust development of the RWAfi ecosystem.
Although there are no details on the amount of capital raised from YZi Labs, to date Plume Network has successfully raised over $30 million in two Series A ($20 million) and Seed ($10 million) rounds. In a report from September 2024, the project announced it has tokenized $1.25 billion in real-world assets, including solar energy farms, private loans, Medicaid-backed invoices, and mining rights, promising to bring profit opportunities to users.
Immediately after the funding news, the PLUME token reacted positively, "erecting a column" and increasing by nearly 20% from the initial price of $0.15. At the time of writing, it is trading "changing hands" around $0.174 per PLUME.
