On March 20 at 11:00 PM Beijing time, US President Trump delivered a speech via video at the Digital Asset Summit (DAS) conference held in New York City. This is the first time in history that a sitting US President has spoken at a cryptocurrency-themed conference.

Hello, participants of the BlockWorks Digital Asset Summit. I am honored to discuss how America will lead in cryptocurrencies and the next generation of financial technology.
This is no easy task, but we are far ahead. Just two weeks ago, we hosted the first-ever White House Digital Assets Summit, bringing together top cryptocurrency industry leaders from around the world. That meeting was chaired by our White House AI and Cryptocurrency Czar, David Sacks, who is an exceptionally talented and gifted individual.
That same week, I also signed an order creating a brand-new Bitcoin Strategic Reserve and a US Digital Asset Reserve, which will allow the federal government to maximize the value of its holdings, rather than stupidly selling them at far below their long-term worth like Biden did, getting only a fraction of their value.
We will end the regulatory war on cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin waged by the previous administration, including stopping the illegal "Operation Chokepoint 2.0". Operation Chokepoint went far beyond the proper scope of regulation, in fact, it was a legal battle using government weapons. Frankly, it was a disgrace. But starting January 20, 2025, all of that will end.
I also call on Congress to pass landmark legislation establishing simple, common-sense rules for stablecoins and market structure. With the right legal framework, institutions large and small will be free to invest, innovate, and participate in one of the most exciting technological revolutions in modern history.
This is so important. I believe it is unprecedented.
Pioneers like you will be able to improve our banking and payments systems, and provide American consumers and businesses with better privacy, security, and wealth. You will unleash the explosive power of economic growth.
Through USD-backed stablecoins, you will help expand the dominance of the dollar. For many years to come, the dollar will remain the leader, and that is exactly what we want to maintain. We want it to stay on top forever.
I can already see the energy and passion of the cryptocurrency community, the kind of spirit that is needed to build our nation, and it is so exciting to watch you invent the future of finance.
And it will all happen right here in America, our great United States.
