According to ChainCatcher and The Verge, Google (GOOG.O) spokesperson Alex Joseph confirmed in an email that Google has begun rolling out new AI features on Gemini Live, allowing the AI to "see" the content on a user's device screen or mobile camera and answer user questions in real-time.

Nearly a year ago, Google first demonstrated the "Astra Project", which laid the foundation for these new features.
