According to the report, World Network is negotiating with Visa to launch a new stablecoin wallet. This will integrate native cryptocurrency features into Visa's massive customer base.
Worldcoin's price has increased 13% since this news was announced. However, there are no definitive signs that the parties will actually reach an agreement.
Is Visa Collaborating with Worldcoin?
World Network (previously Worldcoin), a blockchain-based biometric identification system, may be about to collaborate with Visa.
According to recent reports, World's parent company, Tools for Humanity, has initiated this dialogue. They hope to partner with Visa to create a new stablecoin wallet integrated with their massive customer base:
"OpenAI's CEO, Sam Altman, is reportedly working with Visa to develop a cryptocurrency stablecoin wallet linked to the Worldcoin ecosystem. This wallet will integrate on-chain card features and enable stablecoin payments on Visa's global network. Sources say the goal is to make World Wallet a 'mini bank account' with FX, fiat ramps and more," Mario Nawfal said on X.
In recent months, Worldcoin's value has dropped significantly. Although it had a short-term recovery towards the end of 2024, investor sell-offs and legal obstacles have continuously disappointed fans.
However, since the negotiations between Visa and World Network were made public, Worldcoin has increased by 13%.

For its part, Visa has collaborated with many cryptocurrency companies in the past. They entered the RWA market in 2024 and have also partnered with Coinbase to allow instant Visa debit card transfers.
However, the company also surveyed stablecoin market trends last year, with less than promising results. Stablecoins might even threaten Visa's core business model.
In other words, World Network wants stablecoin to be the center of a future deal with Visa, but this could be a challenging point. So far, negotiations seem to be in the early stages, and there are no signs indicating the likelihood of reaching an agreement. However, discussions are ongoing, and this has helped Worldcoin's value recover.
It's important to remember that stablecoins could become a much larger component of global finance in the near future. In a recent speech, Donald Trump declared that stablecoins will play a crucial role in promoting dollar dominance globally.
This could encourage Visa to collaborate with World Network, but it's too early to confirm.
