
PANews reported on March 28 that according to Reuters, the French state-owned investment bank Bpifrance plans to invest up to 25 million euros (approximately $26.95 million) to purchase niche cryptocurrencies in support of French cryptocurrency projects. This is the first time Bpifrance has specifically established a fund to directly purchase cryptocurrencies, after previously investing 150 million euros in blockchain projects, but only involving "minimal" cryptocurrency investments.
