PANews reported on April 1st that, according to Cointelegraph, the Non-Fungible Token project Gutter Cat Gang (GCG) encountered difficulties when launching its GANG token on Apechain on March 31st. A third party attributed this to "technical issues," while others pointed out that interest in the token was reportedly low. Although GCG's sales data was not published, they stated in a Discord post on March 31st that no GANG tokens were distributed due to "technical problems" from a third party.
GCG's chief architect "Yugen" wrote in the GCG Discord channel: "The bad news is that due to contract restrictions, we could not achieve 100% liquidity claiming on the first day, which prevented participants from withdrawing or depositing funds. We have tried to fix this issue for at least an hour but have not been successful. Everyone will receive their GANG tokens, but not today. I will come back with a new specific date and time." Several X users claimed that GCG only raised 3.66 Ethereum from the GANG token community sale, worth approximately $6,800, which is far below its alleged $1 million target. However, GCG has not confirmed or responded to these figures.
GCG was launched on June 8th, 2021, initially as a collection of 3,000 unique Non-Fungible Token avatars. NFT Price Floor data shows that GCG's NFT floor price reached 8.5 Ethereum (worth $15,240) in September 2022 but has since dropped to 0.19 Ethereum. In October 2023, X user and Non-Fungible Token enthusiast "Mauloadream" (also known as Noah) acquired the Non-Fungible Token company for an undisclosed amount.
