According to Cointelegraph, Foresight News reports that crypto exchange Kraken has announced its registration as a restricted dealer in Canada and appointed Cynthia Del Pozo as the new general manager of North America. Del Pozo previously worked at Gemini Canada for three years, most recently serving as the head of strategy and corporate development.
According to the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA), a restricted dealer is one of eight company registration types in Canada, used to inform investors about the products and services they can provide. This is a special registration for companies that "do not fully fit into other categories" and are subject to specific requirements or conditions from securities regulators.
