The domestic stock market is recording a downward trend.
According to the Korea Exchange, as of 10:30 AM, the KOSPI index is trading at 2,311.23, down 23.00 points (-0.99%) from the previous session. The index opened at 2,318.91, down 15.32 points (-0.66%).
In the securities market, individuals net bought 231.2 billion won, while foreign investors and institutions net sold 137 billion won and 110.6 billion won, respectively.
Top KOSPI stocks by market capitalization are Samsung Electronics (53,700 won, +0.37%), SK Hynix (165,800 won, -2.18%), LG Energy Solution (316,000 won, -0.63%), Samsung Biologics (998,000 won, -0.60%), Hyundai Motor (177,500 won, -0.95%), Samsung Electronics Preferred (44,750 won, +0.34%), Celltrion (157,000 won, -3.74%), Kia (82,800 won, -1.78%), Hanwha Aerospace (679,000 won, -2.72%), and NAVER (178,800 won, -0.45%).
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index is indicating 650.29, down 8.16 points (-1.24%) from the previous session. The index started trading at 655.20, down 3.25 points (-0.49%).
In the KOSDAQ market, individuals net bought 33.5 billion won, while foreign investors net sold 36.9 billion won, and institutions net bought 3.7 billion won.
Top KOSDAQ stocks by market capitalization are Alteogen (352,500 won, -2.22%), Ecoprobiem (93,700 won, -1.16%), HLB (52,400 won, -6.09%), Ecopro (48,800 won, -1.71%), Rainbow Robotics (243,000 won, +1.04%), Hugel (315,500 won, -3.37%), Samchundang Pharmaceutical (163,800 won, -1.80%), Classis (54,500 won, -1.80%), Ligachem Bio (94,600 won, -0.11%), and Pharmaresearch (326,000 won, +1.88%).
In the Seoul foreign exchange market, the won-dollar exchange rate is trading at 1,485.00 won, down 1.50 won from the previous day.
Gold prices saw international gold prices rise by $16.60 to $2,990.20 per troy ounce, while domestic gold prices increased by 73.89 won to 142,410.57 won per gram.
