According to Foresight News and The Block, a sub-DAO Spark from the Sky (formerly MakerDAO) ecosystem has launched a new Spark Rewards program aimed at rewarding users for participation. The program will provide token rewards weekly to users who take specific on-chain actions and contribute to the Spark ecosystem development. The first activity will be conducted in collaboration with the oracle provider RedStone. Participants in the "RED Season" program will provide cbBTC (a Bitcoin wrapped version created by Coinbase) to the SparkLend smart contract on the Ethereum mainnet in exchange for RedStone's RED tokens. The activity is expected to distribute approximately 11.5 million RED tokens, valued at around $6 million.
As part of this program, RedStone will integrate price information into Spark's existing oracle system maintained by Chronicle and Chainlink.
