PANews reported on April 15 that the Digital Policy Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government released the "Guidelines on Generative Artificial Intelligence Technology and Applications in Hong Kong". The guidelines aim to provide practical operational guidance for technology developers, service providers, and users on applying generative AI technology. The guidelines cover the application scope, limitations, potential risks, and governance principles of generative AI technology, including technical risks such as data leakage, model bias, and errors that need attention. Digital Policy Commissioner Wong Chi-kwong said this morning at the AI Large Model Forum of the World Internet Conference Asia-Pacific Summit that the SAR government hopes to promote the development and application of generative AI technology by the industry and the public in a safe and responsible manner, encouraging AI technology innovation while reducing risks and promoting the popularization and development of generative AI in Hong Kong.
