According to ChainCatcher and Tradingview data, the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield has counterintuitively risen to 4.414%, with a 24-hour increase of 1.94%.
The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield, known as the "risk-free rate," is a key metric that the Trump administration hoped to lower to refinance trillions of dollars in national debt. Typically, when market risk aversion intensifies, investors may increase demand for safe-haven assets like Treasury bonds, which would normally lead to a decline in 10-year Treasury yields. However, despite recent market turbulence and U.S. stock market declines, the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield has counterintuitively surged to 4.414%.
