According to ChainCatcher, X user @jeg6322 revealed that the X account (@Toji_video) of Toji, a project in the a16z crypto startup accelerator CSX 04 queue, is a fake account and allegedly guides users to participate in token sales.
@jeg6322 stated that the impersonating Toji team previously invited him via private message to write project promotional content, but the account has not been followed or verified by trusted individuals, and there is no official statement confirming its authenticity. @jeg6322 requested credible endorsement but received no response.
Several days later, the account opened a Telegram group and launched token sale promotions. Despite lacking official verification, some users have followed the account and engaged in community interactions.
Jay, a partner in a16z's cryptocurrency investment team, replied to the tweet: "Correct, this is not the real Toji account, but an impersonator."
ChainCatcher reminds users to be cautious and avoid interacting with unverified fake accounts.
