According to ChainCatcher, Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated during Tesla's (TSLA.O) earnings call that he will continue to advocate for lowering tariffs, but the decision on tariffs is entirely up to U.S. President Trump.
Musk said, "I will provide my suggestions to the president, and the president will listen to my opinion, but ultimately he will make the decision himself. I have repeatedly stated publicly that I believe lowering tariffs is generally beneficial for prosperity, but this decision ultimately belongs to the elected president who represents the people. Therefore, I will continue to advocate for lowering tariffs, not raising them, but that is all I can do."
