Immutable (IMX) increased 10% today after announcing a partnership with Ubisoft. Both are releasing a new mobile game based on the "Might and Magic" series as part of Ubisoft's broader Web3 strategy.
Immutable is planning to expand its gaming operations after the SEC stopped investigating the company last month. The company has not yet disclosed additional details about this new project.
Ubisoft Expands Its Web3 Project
In recent years, Ubisoft, one of the largest and most famous AAA studios in the gaming industry, has faced financial difficulties. Known for beloved game series like Assassin's Creed, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, Far Cry, and more, the studio has gradually expanded into the blockchain space for some time.
Ubisoft had not previously directly collaborated with Immutable, but has shown long-term interest in the intersection of Web3 and gaming. The company leveraged Ethereum blockchain technology six years ago, a collaboration that is still <active and ongoing.
Today, the studio has announced a new mobile game, which both parties seem optimistic about.
