Helium partners with telecom giant AT&T to bring WiFi to thousands of locations across the US

Mars Finance News, on April 24, according to Cointelegraph, the decentralized telecommunications infrastructure project Helium announced a partnership with US telecommunications giant AT&T, integrating its community-built WiFi network into AT&T's service system. According to the agreement, AT&T users can now access over 93,500 Helium hotspot nodes globally (mainly located in the United States), which are operated by individuals and enterprises and maintained through digital asset incentives. Helium Mobile CEO Amir Haleem stated that this collaboration will accelerate the commercialization of decentralized networks, with users able to automatically authenticate and access through AT&T's Passpoint WiFi roaming service. Currently, Helium Network has over 800,000 daily active users, and has previously established a similar partnership with Mexican telecommunications company Telefónica, launching the first free mobile plan in the United States in February 2025.
