According to Foresight News and The Block, the Arbitrum Foundation announced its withdrawal from the Nvidia-supported Ignition AI accelerator program, as the chip giant demanded that no collaboration be mentioned in crypto-related announcements. Previously, they were set to have an exclusive partnership, with Arbitrum becoming the sole Ethereum ecosystem representative in the AI acceleration plan.
An Arbitrum Foundation spokesperson stated that Nvidia recently changed its stance, willing to maintain cooperation but prohibiting public disclosure, which demonstrates a lack of long-term commitment to the crypto field. The accelerator program was originally intended to provide AI development guidance and cloud service credits to Arbitrum. Notably, another public chain, Aptos, continues to maintain its partnership with the accelerator. The foundation emphasized that the withdrawal decision was based on business considerations and that they will choose "partners who fully support blockchain innovation" in the future.
