New progress in Ethereum research: Delayed execution mechanism is expected to optimize the block verification process

According to ChainCatcher, ETH developer @nero_eth published an article discussing delayed execution (EIP-7886) and data availability optimization solutions. The proposal aims to improve block verification mechanisms, allowing validators to confirm block validity through preliminary checks before fully executing transactions. The research team proposed multiple implementation approaches, including optimistic verification, pre-verification and pre-fees, Coinbase-based front-loading fees, and others. The new mechanism is expected to enhance network efficiency, but requires balancing user experience, construction complexity, and fork selection factors. The research has received feedback from multiple ETH core developers and is currently in the optimization design phase.
