
Cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb revealed on the 8th that it has released the April issue of the 'Bithumb TOP Trader Report', which analyzes investment data from the top 100 profitable customers. The report compiled the common behavioral patterns of customers who have achieved actual investment performance, shedding light on their profit rates and platform usage methods.
This analysis was conducted based on data from all trading pairs in Bithumb's Korean won and Bitcoin (BTC) markets from last month. It selected the top 100 profitable users and examined various aspects such as gender, age, trading patterns, and platform feature utilization.
The top user among the top 100 profitable customers recorded a 656.8% profit rate. In terms of age and gender distribution, males in their 30s were the most numerous, followed by those in their 40s and 50s. Among female users, those in their 30s were also the most prevalent, with a notably high proportion of middle-aged and older users in the order of 50s, 40s, and 60 and above.
The key investment trends of the top 100 profitable users showed an average of 11.2 trades per day, with a transaction amount of 14.78 million won. 91% of all orders were made using limit order methods. They tended to sell when the individual cryptocurrency's profit rate reached an average of 3.5%. The most active trading time was at midnight, and Wednesday was the day with the most trading. The top traded assets during April were Aergo, Turbo, and Deep.
76% of the top-performing customers had been using Bithumb for over 3 years, and 38% had transferred their assets from other exchanges to Bithumb within the past year. They shared a common characteristic of implementing investments based on long-term experience in the cryptocurrency market.
Bithumb's Service Director Moon Seon-il stated, "Top-performing customers are connecting Bithumb's various features beyond simple usage to practical profit strategies" and described the report as "demonstrating how a platform can play a role in reading market trends and efficiently managing assets".
Meanwhile, Bithumb plans to continue discovering and revealing insights based on actual user data through the monthly Bithumb Report series.
