According to a report by CoinDesk from Foresight News, the DePIN project Bee Maps on Hivemapper has announced a partnership with ride-hailing giant Lyft to provide them with more accurate map data. Bee Maps allows drivers to use AI-supported dashcams that can automatically detect and update real-time changes on roads (such as construction zones or changed road signs), thereby helping to maintain the currency and accuracy of digital maps.
Bee Maps utilizes a blockchain incentive mechanism to develop real-world infrastructure through crowdsourcing. In Bee Maps, contributors can earn crypto rewards by collecting street images using Hivemapper cameras.
