
PANews reported on May 15 that the Hong Kong Police Force's Cyber Security and Technology Crime Investigation Branch (Technology Crime Division) disclosed the security maintenance of Hong Kong's virtual asset ecosystem. The chief superintendent, Lam Cheuk-ho, emphasized the importance of shared responsibility among exchanges, regulatory bodies, and law enforcement agencies. The Technology Crime Division has also collaborated with the University of Hong Kong to develop a virtual asset analysis tool called CryptoTrace, providing advanced intelligence and investigative support for crime investigation units. Additionally, they have established a new anti-fraud team in the New Territories South Region.
