On May 15, Bitlayer, a project implemented based on the Bitcoin ecosystem BitVM technology, announced a collaboration with the high-performance public chain Sui. Both parties will jointly deploy the trust-minimized BTC bridge solution BitVM Bridge and promote the integration and adoption of the BitVM Bridge core component Peg-BTC (YBTC) in the Sui ecosystem.
With the launch of Peg-BTC (YBTC), users will be able to explore diverse DeFi scenarios such as asset exchange, lending, and staking on the Sui network. This collaboration also marks a key breakthrough in the multi-chain ecosystem layout of BitVM Bridge. As the first BTCFi infrastructure built on BitVM, BitVM Bridge has now established partnerships with 7 mainstream public chains and protocols including Sui, Base, Starknet, Arbitrum, Sonic, Plume Network, and Sundial, with plans to expand to more ecosystems. According to official sources, BitVM Bridge has entered the final testing phase and is expected to launch on the mainnet soon.
