PANews reports on May 19th that according to official sources, Virtuals Protocol has announced that agent staking is now online, and staking can earn points. The switching period will end at 3 PM Beijing time on May 22nd, and users need to transfer agent tokens to the staking contract before that time. Thereafter, only staked agent tokens will be eligible to earn points. Qualifying contracts include: Staking contracts issued by Virtuals; whitelisted contracts with a 14-day unlock cooling period. The team will publicly confirm after the staking exclusive qualification takes effect.
Staking contracts launching today: Approximately 70 projects (including Genesis and standard issuance projects) have been confirmed to launch staking contracts today.
Execution rules: After 3 PM on May 22nd, only staked agent tokens can earn points; whitelisted contracts must include a 14-day unlock cooling period; projects using custom contracts will have 2 weeks to migrate or adjust to meet staking requirements.
