According to ChainCatcher, crypto KOL AB Kuai.Dong@_FORAB tweeted that, based on community information and confirmation from multiple industry professionals, the Cetus project, which experienced a theft incident on the evening of May 22, is actually the team that previously operated the DeFi project Crema Finance on the Solana chain in 2022. Crema had previously gained attention due to a theft incident but ultimately successfully recovered most of its funds.
In 2022, Crema was attacked, losing approximately $9.6 million. After the incident, the attacker returned about $8 million. According to an announcement from the U.S. Southern District of New York, the hackers involved were subsequently arrested and sentenced, with the timing and amount of information consistent with the event at that time.
