Ethereum blockchain game Ember Sword announced its closure due to lack of funds, setting a record of $200 million in NFT sales

Mars Finance News: Ethereum chain game 'Ember Sword' has been permanently shut down by developer Bright Star Studio due to lack of operational funds, with Discord community permissions also being restricted. The project had previously generated over $203 million in revenue through virtual land Non-Fungible Token sales during its peak in 2021, attracting approximately 35,000 players, with an advisory team including industry veterans like Rob Pardo, former Blizzard Chief Creative Officer. Despite launching a closed beta in July 2024 and migrating to Ethereum Layer2 network Mantle, the project was unable to reverse its decline.
