PANews reported on May 27 that according to The Block, personal information of Solana co-founder Raj Gokal was leaked through the Instagram account representing the American rap group Migos. The Migos Instagram account, which has 13 million followers, appeared to be hacked on Monday night, posting seven photos, including a selfie of Raj Gokal holding his driver's license and passport, with all photos unedited. The leaked photos also included a female user, reportedly Gokal's wife, holding a driver's license. Another post displayed Gokal's leaked personal data, including his phone number, with the uploader encouraging viewers to send "spam" to the Solana co-founder. One of the posts explicitly claimed Gokal "should" pay 40 bitcoins, suggesting possible extortion. The posts have since been deleted.
As previously reported on May 20, Solana co-founder Raj Gokal stated that attackers had been continuously attempting to control his email, social media, Google, and Apple accounts over the past week. He warned users that if they notice unusual content on their accounts (such as token issuance or fundraising), it is likely due to a hacker invasion, and called on users to remain vigilant.
