On June 3rd, according to official sources, the first season of Sonic (S) airdrop will distribute a total of 190.5 million S tokens to users, aiming to incentivize user and developer participation in its ecosystem. The airdrop will also reward Opera historical activity participants, Sonic Arcade users, and Shard Non-Fungible Token minters.
The first batch of airdrops will be available for claiming six months after Sonic's launch (around June 2025), with users able to immediately claim 25% of the allocation. The remaining 75% will be linearly released in the form of Non-Fungible Tokens over a 270-day period. If users claim the locked portion early, they will need to pay a token burning fee as a penalty, with the burning ratio decreasing over time.
