Singleness of Money means that all forms of a currency should be fully interchangeable at equal value, regardless of where or how they are held or used.
I completely agree with @xkonjin that the current stablecoin wars are essentially a battle for control over the digital dollar, with the goal of creating a universal, chain-agnostic stablecoin.
There are three major players in this space:
⎯ @Tether_to / @USDT0_to / $USDT (The King)
• Holds about 90% market share, especially on @trondao
• USD₮ is built on @LayerZero_Core’s OFT and supports omnichain transfers
• Targets DeFi, institutions, B2B settlements, fintech, and new crypto users
• @PlasmaFDN offers new infrastructure for free USDT transfers, backed by @bitfinex and @foundersfund, and serves as a Bitcoin-anchored sidechain
⎯ @circle / $USDC (The Suit)
• Closely linked with @coinbase
• Offers an omnichain solution through Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP)
• Has significant traction in emerging markets and across DeFi protocols
• Focuses on regulatory compliance and strong connections to traditional finance
⎯ @fraxfinance / $FRAX (The Alchemist)
• Introduces new concepts for the digital dollar beyond traditional uses
• Uses governance-appointed custodians and yield staking through the sfrxUSD vault for frxUSD
...
In my view, USD₮ is one of the best candidate to the Singleness of Money, which remains a challenge because of blockchain fragmentation.
USD₮ LegacyMesh streamlines multiple bridged versions into a single, unified token, and extends Tether’s reach into DeFi and other sectors.
Put simply, USDT provides the reserve, while USD₮ serves as the transfer rail.
This combination could create one true dollar, bridging the gap between street-level transactions and enterprise use.

Stablecoins is always the strongest sector and the only PMF i believe reached mass adoption fr
but it seems like the stablecoins war has nothing to do with us as an user ';O
It’s more on the invisible or subtle side, in my opinion. As users, we just need to know that it will remain stable and can be used across DeFi protocols.
yeah, so the fact is that we dont really care which project is behind the stablecoin
we just use it, the largest the safest
