On June 16, an advisor of the Trump family's crypto project WLFI stated that USD1, their stablecoin, has been officially integrated into the Bitcoin Thunderbolt network initiated by Nubit. USD1 is currently the only stablecoin running on the Bitcoin mainnet (Tether has previously suspended the Omni version of USDT), and this collaboration opens up a fast channel for stablecoin usage on the Bitcoin mainnet.
Users can directly transfer and receive USD1 on the Bitcoin mainnet and use it to purchase Lightning Network nodes. The deep collaboration between WLFI and Nubit will significantly expand Bitcoin's application scenarios in stablecoins and payment networks, with USD1 deployed on the Bitcoin Lightning Network expected to account for over 90% of circulation.
Previously, on April 15, HSBC's official news disclosed that the Bitcoin Lightning Network introduced UTXO Bundling and OP_CAT instructions through a mainnet soft fork, supporting on-chain native asset issuance, transaction acceleration, and smart verification. Actual tests showed that the network efficiency improved 1000-2000 times compared to the original chain, and the network was proposed jointly by early Bitcoin miners, core developers, and the Nubit team.
