On July 2, the Bitcoin-focused venture studio Thesis acquired Lolli, a Bitcoin rewards platform, with the specific transaction details undisclosed.
Thesis previously incubated the Bitcoin rewards platform Fold, which was later spun off as an independent company. Fold subsequently reached a merger agreement with FTAC Emerald Acquisition Corp. in July 2024 and went public on NASDAQ in February with the stock ticker FLD.
Thesis stated: "This move makes Thesis a leader in Bitcoin rewards technology and marks an important step towards its mission of building a Bitcoin-driven lifestyle economy, transforming Bitcoin from a buy-and-hold asset to the foundation of a modern decentralized economy."
Founded in 2018, Lolli allows users to earn Bitcoin and cash back while shopping at over 50,000 retailers or playing more than 1,000 mobile games (both online and in-store).
