According to ChainCatcher, based on Spot On Chain's monitoring, the German government sold all 49,858 of its held bitcoins between June 19 and July 12, with a total value of approximately $2.87 billion, at an average selling price of $57,600.
However, calculated at the latest bitcoin price of over $120,000, the current value of these bitcoins would reach $5.98 billion, which means the German government missed out on potential gains of up to $3.11 billion.
