Citi: The total circulating supply of stablecoins may increase to $1.6-3.7 trillion by 2030

Odaily Planet Daily News Citibank predicts that the total circulating supply of stablecoins may grow to between $1.6 trillion and $3.7 trillion by 2030 under different scenarios, with the supply of stablecoins expected to remain primarily denominated in US dollars (about 90%), while non-US countries will promote the development of their own CBDCs. Citibank analysts wrote in a recent report: "Despite long-term potential, opportunities are still in the early stages, with limited visibility on timing and end-user adoption." (LedgeInsights)
