Nobody wants to hear this but yellow jackets and hornets by default have a very docile demeanor I made a truce with them when I built my garden and I’ve never been stung, they regularly brush up against me Animals regardless of size can sense if you are a friend

Sometimes I’ll give someone a tour of the garden and they’ll see a wasp and they’ll start freaking out screaming, running around like a idiot I literally tell them to be calm and quit acting like that (I then explain they are nice etc) Wasps absolutely obliterate other insects pests, my garden is 100% organic and honestly it’s credit to the wasps, they crush a slew of other bugs that would normally prey on and destroy plants and vegetables
