Trump and his donors will pay for $200 million White House renovations

PANews reported on August 1st that according to Politico, the White House will undergo a massive renovation project on its East Wing, costing $200 million, which is the latest construction project by Trump for this administrative residence. White House Press Secretary Levitt announced on Thursday that a White House State Dining Room, approximately 90,000 square feet and capable of accommodating 650 people, will begin construction in September. According to the White House website, Trump and other "patriotic donors" will foot the bill for this $200 million renovation. Levitt stated that the East Wing will also undergo "modernization," and during construction, all office areas, including the First Lady's office, will be temporarily relocated. This is the latest and most expensive of a series of White House renovation projects during Trump's term. Levitt said the project is expected to be completed before the end of Trump's term.
