On August 18, the publicly traded company BitMine Immersion Technologies announced that the total value of its cryptocurrency holdings exceeds $6.612 billion. As of 23:59 Eastern Time on August 17, the company holds 1,523,373 ETH (priced at $4,326 per unit, according to Bloomberg) and 192 BTC.
Tom Lee, Chairman of BitMine and Fundstrat analyst, stated: "Within a single week, our ETH holdings grew from $1.5 billion to $6 billion (adding 373,000 units, increasing from 1.15 million to 1.52 million units), which confirms institutional investors' support for our '5% Ethereum strategy'. As we have consistently emphasized, BitMine leads the development of cryptocurrency holdings institutions, whether in terms of net asset value growth per share or stock liquidity."
