On August 19, according to the Legal Daily, Ningbo City in Zhejiang Province, China, solved a case involving virtual currency remote ordering "flash delivery of Maotai" fraud, where the defendant defrauded liquor stores by using fake receipts to steal genuine Maotai and transfer the proceeds through virtual currency to the upstream supplier.
Prosecuted by the Yinzhou District Procuratorate in Ningbo, the defendant Zhou was sentenced to one year and six months in prison and fined by the court for the crime of concealing and hiding criminal proceeds, while the upstream fraud suspects are still under further investigation by the public security authorities.
