According to cryptocurrency onchain data, Arthur Hayes, one of the industry's most controversial figures, appears to have sold off an altcoin he held for a long time.
Onchain data shows Hayes deposited 1.22 million EtherFi (ETHFI) tokens, worth $1.88 million, into Binance and Galaxy Digital. This transfer is likely for sale, but it's impossible to know for sure without accessing the platforms' internal data.
Interestingly, the ETHFI price has lost a significant 7.7% in the last 24 hours. However, the token is trading 82% lower than its all-time high of $8.57 seen last year.
The token’s all-time low was recorded five months ago and is currently trading 273% higher than that low.
Hayes was previously forced to resign from his position as founder of BitMEX due to market manipulation allegations and was subsequently fined by the US. However, he was recently pardoned by US President Donald Trump.
