Binance – the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange – has just announced the latest update related to the Monitoring Tag and Seed Tag list, officially effective from October 9, 2025. This move is chain of Binance’s efforts to ensure transparency and safety for users amid the volatile global cryptocurrency market.
According to the official announcement, Binance added WAN (Wanchain) to the Monitoring Tag list – a group of Token that are being monitored specifically because they show signs of no longer meeting the listing criteria. This tag means that WAN may face the risk of being Delisting if it does not improve its performance, volume , or comply with technical regulations.
On the contrary, Binance removed GPS and MBL from the Monitoring Tag list, showing that these two projects have achieved the necessary standards of liquidation, transparency and reliability. This is a positive signal, especially in the context that many investors are looking for projects with stable foundations after strong market fluctuations.
In the Seed Tag category, Binance also announced the removal of 4 projects including BERA, BIO, ZK and ZRO. Token with Seed Tags usually represent newly listed projects or projects in the early stages of development, with higher than Medium risks. Removing this tag shows that the projects have passed the testing phase, achieved a certain stability in technology or community.
Monitoring Tag and Seed Tag – Two important “warning signs” for investors
For long-time traders, these two tags are important indicators of a Token's risk level.
Monitoring Tag: Assigned to Token that show signs of poor performance, lack of liquidation , or compliance issues.
Seed Tag: For young, newly listed projects with high growth potential but with significant risks.
Users trading Token in these two categories must complete a knowledge test every 90 days to ensure they understand the risks. Binance will continuously review each project, updating or removing tags based on actual performance and developments.
