On October 7th, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, announced plans to invest $2 billion in prediction market platform Polymarket at a valuation of approximately $9 billion. Just three days later, another prediction market giant, Kalshi, announced the completion of a $300 million funding round, valuing the platform at $5 billion.
