Vitalik Buterin Praises ZKsync: “The Project Is Doing Little-Seeing But Valuable Things for Ethereum”
On November 1, Vitalik Buterin – founder of Ethereum – made the crypto community excited when Chia a long article by Alex Gluchowski, co-founder of ZKsync, with the title: “Ethereum is now the main Capital center of ZKsync.”
In this post, Vitalik not only expressed his admiration for the efforts of the ZKsync team, but also asserted that they are doing “underappreciated work that is extremely valuable to the Ethereum ecosystem.” He also said that he is excited to see the project’s upcoming new features.
According to Alex’s original post, the ZKsync Atlas upgrade will bring significant performance improvements: over 15,000 transactions per second (TPS), 1-second confirmation times via zero-knowledge proofs, and near-zero transaction fees. However, Alex emphasized that this is just the “tip of the iceberg,” as Atlas actually unlocks the ability for Layer 2 networks to achieve higher levels of functionality than ever before – something that Capital been limited by most Ethereum scaling platforms today.
It is worth noting that, in a global blockchain market that is witnessing fierce competition between Layer 2 solutions, such as Arbitrum, Optimism , and Starknet, ZKsync has maintained its position by focusing on ZK-Rollup technology – an approach that Vitalik Buterin has repeatedly claimed is “the future of Ethereum scalability.”
Vitalik Buterin has long been a strong advocate for zero-knowledge proof-based scaling solutions, believing that they are the path to Ethereum achieving global scalability without sacrificing decentralization. His public endorsement of ZKsync – among a host of other Layer 2 projects – is XEM as an important “endorsement” that affirms ZKsync’s place in the future of the Ethereum ecosystem.
