I feel that the mined gold isn't considered new issuance but rather unlocking... Similar to how occasionally an ancient Bitcoin wallet transfers its assets to an exchange... The total amount of gold on Earth or in the solar system is finite; this is a fixed law of physics and the limitations of human technology, essentially the same as with Bitcoin... I feel the core argument in the CZ debate should still focus on the convenience of assets in a future interstellar civilization?

With more than two weeks left, I think this is a topic that really needs to be thought about. Every time I go on Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book), I see a bunch of idiots debating Bitcoin and gold.
