Kevin Owocki: 1) I'm excited to see Octant's rise—they're using a new vault model to tap into the demand side, which I think is very clever. I hope they (and their vault users) can raise significant amounts of capital and then allocate it carefully and shrewdly. 2) I really like Silvi's work on bioregional financing. The peer-to-peer "certificate of planting" is very cool, and this model could completely bypass the current reforestation NGO structure dominated by numerous intermediaries. 3) Deep Funding is doing a great job attracting top talent from new fields like AI and expanding human judgment for funding open-source software dependencies. 4) I like Devansh Mehta's thinking about connecting the revenue centers and cost centers of an ecosystem. Just as nature struggles to survive without energy, businesses struggle to survive without revenue. By connecting cost centers with revenue centers, we can co-fund the public goods of an ecosystem while it grows. 5) In my view, the clearest direction for Gitcoin GG25 is to demonstrate that we can build influential alliances with upside potential in one or two truly high-potential frontier metas (e.g., x402, AI, stablecoins, DePIN, interoperability, information finance/privacy, etc.) while maintaining (relatively) low overhead. Specifically, this means running public goods funding rounds in these areas and combining them with token investments to create a sustainable dealflow and treasury. The PGF round provides the dealflow for the investment engine.
