"Kabuto King" is monopolizing the 1st edition Fossil Kabuto Pokemon Cards
The problem with having a single collector holding the bulk of a card is centralization risk
As @waleswoosh will recall, it's why so much focus was placed on the holder ratio with NFTs
This price is going to be artificially pumped, and then as you NFT enthusiasts know, what comes next is the mother of all floor bricks
A viable solution is burning the collection to permanently remove the cards from circulation
The true fair value will be nowhere close to what you'll see on price charting sites as you simply won't be able to shift these in bulk
What are the bets we see AI used to show "accumulation of more cards" then offload them into the hype on the side, at a premium
Maybe there will be a counterparty offering an OTC for a discount, or donate to the natural history museum on the proviso they are never sold?

I told everyone this for the past 3 months. At first they point and laugh, next they give a million reasons why it wont, finally they will realize. x.com/proroketh/stat…

If this plays out similar to NFTs: They will either all be listed at floor or someone will build a marketplace that inventizes placing bids on 1st edition fossil kabuto pokemon cards, then a bidder, let's call him machililbrother comes along and places a few million dollars worth
Can’t wait to see how this one plays out:

Thanks for the write up crypto bro but I'll take it from here. @KabutoKing_ likes Kabuto. @KabutoKing_ buys Kabuto. @KabutoKing_ doesn't sell Kabuto. @KabutoKing_ lives happily ever after with their Kabuto. End of story.

Psa 10 1st ed kabuto we’re going for sub $100 in early Nov
Now @KabutoKing_ went viral for trying to corner the market
We just bid one up to max $600 and someone outbid it!
These markets are extremely thin (and fun)
Feels like nft trading but worst case you’re stuck holding

If only we could leverage trade Kabutos
Manipulation on steroids with shorting and squeezing. Let retail really participate in the economic value of fossil pokemon cards

🚨FUN FACT: Today we learned that there is an autist (@KabutoKing_ ) currently collecting every first edition Pokemon Kabuto card in an attempt to gain complete dominance over the Kabuto market. He currently has 1700+ Kabutos and has pumped the market price to over $10 a Kabuto.

This might be one of the dumbest tweets I’ve seen on the internet, of all time.
Man think other man is going to manually list 2000 separate cards and completely self sabotage his entire position
LOL
is kabuto king your alt?
ROFLCOPTER
No but now I know why you guys were one hit wonders in crypto lol
Imagine thinking he can physically floor every single card without anyone noticing and also nobody actually cares as all the other owners hold a card worth $10 anyway.
Like literally who cares 😂
He’s quite obviously going to burn every single card other than first edition 9s and 10s.
Physical burn or send to a museum to lock away forever. Which they can and will do.
NFT bros and real collectors are not the same thing.
Yeah I agree with that at current prices
But at 10-100x the price what’s to stop them using fake screenshots to show the illusion of accumulating while offloading under an alias to clip out profits?
The beauty of having this all off chain is it opens up a whole world of possible manipulations
Kinda an argument for tokenization of this stuff. Price charting and other data sites for FMV are not great for collectibles and can be easily manipulated

Total Fossil print run (all printings) is likely 20–40 million cards
1st Edition was the smallest wave, typically ~10% of total WotC-era production
Therefore, Fossil 1st Ed ≈ ~3 million cards total (using 30M as a midpoint for the whole set)... x.com/dcfgod/status/…
