According to ChainCatcher, the U.S. War Department, in partnership with Google, launched a new platform, GenAI.mil, on Tuesday, marking the first time Google's Gemini for Government has been used by the U.S. military. Google's IL5 model has become the first generative artificial intelligence deployed to the U.S. Army.
With the official launch of GenAI.mil and Gemini for Government, the Pentagon is extending artificial intelligence technology throughout the military. Google's system provides 3 million U.S. military personnel with secure, reliable, IL5-compliant generation tools for non-classified work.
