Common mistake in these conditions is DCA’ing far too quickly. Starting/adding to a position that you think has potential is fine. The issue is people forget context. They see a whale exit or a sharp red candle and emotionally fast-forward the entire DCA plan, clipping a large chunk in one go. You have to factor in both the market conditions and whether your play is actually the flavour right now (has a clear catalyst, isn’t overcrowded yet, etc). In a slow, risk-off tape, most things don’t V-reversal. Selling pressure needs time to clear unless the asset is one of the very few with real, concentrated attention.
