NeoDashboard’s NDMEME token has become the first non-native token to be approved for use on the Neo X Native Bridge, enabling transfers between the Neo X and Neo N3 networks. As a result of the listing, NDMEME is now bridgeable across both chains and tradable on CarrotSwap and Flamingo Finance.
The bridge is built and maintained by BaneLabs, a collaboration between Neo Global Development, AxLabs, and Neo SPCC. It allows for interoperability between Neo’s dual-chain architecture, ensuring that supported assets can be securely locked on one chain and represented on the other. Prior to the NDMEME listing, only bridging of native tokens NEO and GAS was enabled by the infrastructure.
To ensure the long-term reliability and security of the bridge, BaneLabs has established a formal whitelisting process. Projects must meet both technical and strategic criteria to qualify. On the technical side, token contracts must be immutable, audited on both chains, and open source. Contracts must comply with NEP-17 and ERC-20 standards for Neo N3 and Neo X respectively, and destination chain contracts must be newly deployed. Projects are also required to use official BaneLabs templates for their contracts to ensure standardization.
From a non-technical standpoint, the team evaluates factors such as traction on the originating network, alignment with the broader Neo ecosystem, and the presence of a public development roadmap. Teams must also disclose core contributors and provide relevant documentation during the application process. While fixed-supply tokens are fully supported, uncapped-supply models are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
