Socialism's track record. 1913-Present.
A great success.
Let's welcome in Mamdani into this pantheon.
1. Vladimir Lenin, USSR
price controls, forced requisitions
result: Industrial output collapsed ~80% (1913–1921)
Outcome: Famine killed ~5 million
Fix: Had to abandon socialism temporarily (NEP) to stop collapse

5. Hugo Chávez (Venezuela)
Policy: Nationalizations, price caps, oil dependence
Result: Food shortages in an oil-rich nation
Outcome: GDP down ~75% (2013–2021)
Currency: Bolivar destroyed

6. Nicolás Maduro (Venezuela)
Policy: Doubled down on Chávez socialism
Result: Hyperinflation >1,000,000%
Outcome: 7+ million fled the country
Reality: Economy now partially dollarized out of desperation
