According to Foresight News , the Digital Yuan Operation and Management Center has launched a "Carbon Inclusiveness" mini-program service within the Digital Yuan App, initially in Shanghai. After activating the service, users will automatically accumulate carbon credits earned through green and low-carbon activities such as taking the subway and buses, and riding shared bicycles, which can then be exchanged for digital yuan.
The mini-program is initially integrated with platforms such as Metro (Shanghai Metro), Hello Bike, and T3 Mobility. After users link their accounts from these platforms within the digital yuan app, the system will automatically record low-carbon behaviors and accumulate points. Users need to activate their digital yuan wallet and upgrade it to a real-name wallet before redeeming.
