Permits are not the main issue. It’s money. Specifically unlocking the insurance money customers are owed immediately. Permits don’t pay for a house.

While I do appreciate @POTUS Executive Order to streamline permitting in Los Angeles for wildfire survivors, the permits are not the biggest bottleneck.
Until someone is ready to take serious action on the home insurance industry there will be no acceleration of building.
